To lose weight what should you focus on ?

There are 2 core elements to weight management - Protein and Metabolic Rate.

  1. Resting Metabolic Rate

    The Resting Metabolic Rate is the amount of calories you burn at rest during a 24-hour period.  To lose weight you need to consume 500 calories a day below your own individual metabolic rate. (But never go below 1000 calories as that slows down your metabolic rate)

  2. Protein Requirements

    Many people have to many carbohydrates in their diet (for their daily level of exercise) and not enough protein.
