How to make a hot or warm Shake
Ideal for winter….
A warm shake or smoothie is ideal for those cold winter days.
However the key to getting the best taste is in the way you blend the shake – you need to add cold milk to your powder first.
How to make a hot protein shake..
The video below provides step by step advice on how to make a great tasting warm shake.
To make a hot shake you will need :
- Shake Mix
- Few tablespoons cold low-fat milk
8 oz. (250 ml) hot or warm milk
In the video uses coffee flavour – but we’ve found it tastes absolutely delicious with the ‘mint chocolate’ or ‘toffee, apple & cinnamon’
A few hot shake recipe ideas…
The advantage of the shakes are that you can ‘experiment’ with flavours you will really enjoy – and that appeal to your own individual taste and likes.
There are many different shake flavours, simply select one you like and then add protein powder and other ingredients as required.
For example..
Hot Banana Shake..
You need
- 2 scoops shake mix powder
- Few tablespoons cold low-fat milk
- 8 oz. (250 ml) milk
- 1 Good size banana
To make
- Blend the shake mix powder with the tablespoons of milk (as in the video)
- Blend the 250 ml milk and banana in a blender
- Combine both
- Heat in a microwave for about 2 minutes
- Enjoy !
Please note… Do not use a shaker beaker for hot shakes, as the pressure caused by the hot liquid will force the lid off and you’ll get covered !
Hot Apple Pie Shake
You need
- 2 scoops shake mix powder
- 30 g protein powder
- Few tablespoons cold low-fat milk (or soya milk)
- 8 oz. (250 ml) milk (or soya milk)
- A few dashes cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves
- 1 cup apple slices
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
To make
- Blend the shake mix powder with the tablespoons of milk (as in the video)
- Blend the 250 ml milk and other ingredients in a blender
- Combine both
- Heat in a microwave for about 2 minutes
- Enjoy !
