Notes

How to make a smoothie with water ?

Most people will tend to focus on making a smoothie with fruit juice or milk (' a shake').
However there are some great recipes for water based smoothies that are easy to make and will taste great.
For example the white fruit smoothie (shown right) is very light and easy to drink and bursting full of vitamins and minerals..
Do note that if you add protein powder the smoothie can often be much more 'filling' and ideal as a meal.  In the recipes below we have used the formula 1 powder as it's a great base for making smoothies.  (Calorie controlled containing low glycemic index ingredients for energy)....
Advantages
Very easy & quick to make, a very low calorie smoothie
Disadvantages
Very low in protein (unless you add protein powder or protein drink mix)
The protein drink mix has been specifically designed for making a shake with water - making the shake or smoothie much 'thicker & creamier' More Details
